The studio
Small on purpose.
Why we exist
Aurum came out of a problem our sister studio kept running into. 3D Design Studios is built for volume — fast, accurate, keenly priced, and very good at what it does. But every so often a project arrived where the imagery had to do something else entirely: carry a planning argument, launch a landmark development, or sit on a hoarding for two years.
Those projects need a different economics. More hours per frame, fewer frames at once, and a senior artist on the work from start to finish rather than a production line. You cannot run both models inside one studio without one of them quietly degrading the other.
So we separated them. Volume work goes to 3D Design Studios at volume prices, and gets genuine care at that price. Work that needs this level comes here. We will tell you plainly which one you need, including when the answer costs us the job.
How we work
Four rules we don’t break.
Light before material
Every scene is lit and composed as a grey box before a single finish is applied. It is the cheapest possible moment to change your mind, and it is where the image is actually won or lost.
Real context, not invented
Neighbouring buildings come from survey, cadastral and aerial data. Invented context is faster and it is also the thing that gets imagery challenged in a planning hearing.
Specified, not approximated
If a finish is named in the schedule, that is what gets rendered. We keep a scanned library of the major ranges and build anything missing from manufacturer data.
A capped book of work
We limit concurrent projects on purpose. It costs us revenue and it is the only way the person who lit your first image is still the person lighting your fifth.

Founder
“I spent years watching beautiful buildings get sold with images that actively worked against them. That gap is the whole business.”
Anthony Milostic · Founder
Anthony founded 3D Design Studios in 2021 after a career in building products, including a period as an innovation manager at a major cladding manufacturer. That background is why this studio is unusually exacting about how materials behave in a render — he spent years looking at the real thing.
Clients
Who this studio is for
Architects
Practices whose drawings deserve imagery of the same standard, particularly for competitions and awards.
Developers
Off-the-plan campaigns where the imagery is doing the selling, months before anything is built.
Luxury builders
Custom-home builders competing on craft rather than price, who need the visuals to say so.
Planning consultants
Submissions where accurate context and defensible massing matter more than flattery.
Not sure which studio you need? Send the brief to either of us. If your project is better served at volume pricing we will say so and pass you to 3D Design Studios — that happens most weeks and nobody minds.
